Univision's version of "Dancing With the Stars," "Mira Quien Baila," was the focus of an early evening cocktail party featuring a live reenactment of a telenovella (it's even cheesier live) and a hip-shaking appeearance by the new season's first announced participant, Erik Estrada.
The presentation reminded me of that "Saturday Night Live" sketch in which the host keeps interrupting the conversation to break into crazy dances. Fortunately the talent at the party was a bit more attractive than the "SNL" characters.
Featured drink: The Unitini. Ingredients: Vodka, grenandine, triple sec, raspberry garnish. Extremely sweet.
