Dance preview

One night: As the Minnesota Fringe Festival approaches, there will be previews for fans to get a taste of what's available. Dance lovers needn't look any further than "The Rabbit Show" at the Bryant-Lake Bowl, where dancers will give teasers of their upcoming work. Started by the late John Munger, "The Rabbit Show" is curated by local choreographer April Sellers. Among the must-see groups is Bollywood Dance Scene-Twin Cities, in its follow-up from last year's runaway Fringe hit, "Hi! Hello! Namaste." The new piece, "Spicy Masala Chai," features more than 60 dancers offering a hybrid of traditional Indian dance, hip-hop and musical theater. Also, Rick Auslund of Bucket and Tap Shoes will team with Alejandra Iannone for a slapstick sendup of a children's ballet class called "Parent Observation Day." And Fringe veteran Erin Sheppard will present an excerpt from "Dance With the Devil." (7 p.m. Wed. $7-$12; $6 with Fringe button. 810 W. Lake St., Mpls. 612-825-3737, bryantlakebowl.com.)
