Severe weather will continue to impact the southern Plains on Saturday.Thunderstorms will bring torrential downpours and damaging winds to areas fromSan Antonio into the Lower Mississippi Valley. Localized flash flooding will bea concern, however some of this rainfall will be beneficial as areas from SanAntonio to Houston still remain in an extreme to exceptional drought.
During the afternoon, a line of thunderstorms will erupt from north-centralTexas to central Kansas. These storms will be disruptive to any travel plans asthey may contain wind gusts over 50 mph and damaging hail.
