Intense thunderstorms will erupt across the eastern Dakotas later Thursdayafternoon as hot, sticky air pushing in from the south interacts with coolerair moving in aloft.The thunderstorms will track eastward into Minnesota and northern Iowa Thursdayevening, producing very heavy rainfall, large hail and damaging wind gusts.
The heavy rainfall could also aggravate the flooding issues across parts ofIowa Thursday night into Friday.
