Feb. 8

Theft. Two men were observed using a knife to open a package and steal an Xbox game at the Wal-Mart, 1360 Town Centre Dr. The men were later stopped and cited for theft at the intersection of Pilot Knob Road and Englert Road

JAN. 26

Theft. Three security cameras were reported stolen from the BP station, 2030 Dodd Road on Jan. 21 about 1:30 a.m. Video captured the theft, but the vehicle and suspect were not identifiable.

JAN. 29

Burglary. A thief broke into an empty home on the 600 block of Levander Way. Items stolen included a Dewalt impact screwdriver, Dewalt cordless drills, a nail gun and the keys to the car sitting in the garage. The car was still parked in the garage undamaged when police arrived.

Theft. An ice auger, a mountain bike and an ice fishing chair were stolen from a detached garage on the 300 block of 4th Avenue S.

Property damage. A front window of Thomas Jewelry, 1158 Southview Boulevard, was broken, and a 4-foot steel pipe was found near the scene. Entry did not appear to have been made and nothing was missing.

JAN. 31

Theft. A vehicle's transmission and another vehicle's wiper blades were stolen from a parking lot in the 100 block of Bridgepoint Way.

FEB. 1

Stolen property. A stolen vehicle from Ramsey County was found on the 1000 block of Dale Place. The license plate on the stolen vehicle belonged to a different vehicle and it was taken to the impound lot.

Harassment. A woman in the 300 block of Marie Avenue E. reported harassment by her child's father. Police were told that the woman was upset that her child's father is now dating her aunt.

Theft. A man reportedly tried to break into a house in the 400 block of E. Annapolis Street, and when he was not able, he took a bottle of liquor and carpet cleaner from the porch instead.

Robbery. Two men with a gun reportedly hit the clerk at the Superette, 1834 Oakdale Av., and left.

JAN. 28

Theft, fraud. A caller in the 1700 block of S. Robert Street reported that her purse was stolen and credit cards were used at multiple locations.

Fraud. A resident of the 300 block of Edith Drive told police she received a call from someone claiming they worked for "Western Government" and that she had won $6,000. The resident was told to go to the nearest Western Union to transfer $199. The resident thought it was a fraud and did not transfer the money.

Unwanted guests. Customers at the Great Moon Buffet, 1200 S. Robert St., were trying to get a free meal by saying their food was bad. The manager said they had done the same things several times before. When officers arrived, the customers were escorted out.
