Some of the daily deal sites are offering something a little different than teeth whitening and spa specials today. And all of today's deals could be ideas for Father's Day (June 19).

Crowdcut offers a 90 minute in-home dog training session for $30 (reg. $65) from Aloha Pet care and Dog Training (Brooklyn Center, 763-503-4797). The site also offers a full-service dog wash for $15 (reg. $35) at Bubbly Paws (St. Louis Park, 952-657-5300). You can call either pet place with questions, but they do not sell the coupons. Go to the Crowdcut link to buy.

Groupon is offering a 50 percent savings at Midwest Mountaineering (Minneapolis, 612-339-3433). The deal lets you buy a $20 gift card voucher for $10. I wish the voucher were for a larger amount, but oh well. It's a great place to buy something for the dad who'likes the outdoors. The voucher can also be used in the Thrifty Outfitters room upstairs. Note: I had a problem with the Groupon link saying that the deal was sold out but when I click on "buy" it allows me to do so. Go to the Groupon link to buy.

Livingsocial is offering a winery tour that's a little closer than Napa Valley. For $23 (reg. $46) get a tour for two of the Chateau St. Croix Winery (St. Croix Falls, Wis., 715-483-2556) and get a tasting too. The grounds include a carriage house, fish pond, stables and gardens, Take home two glasses as a memento. Go to the Livingsocial link to buy.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
