How in the name of Gabby Douglas did we watch the Olympics before Twitter? These summer games have provided social media obsessors with a buffet of meme-ready moments. Michael Phelps' death stare? Gold! Oiled-up Tonga flag bearer? Gold! Purple cupping bruises on athletes' backs? Weird, but gold!
The best social media moment so far has got to be the budding Twitter affair between Simone Biles and Zac Efron. Turns out Biles (aka the best gymnast ever) and Efron (aka the best shirtless guy ever) really dig each other. The two have exchanged a few public tweets — the cutest being this one (which came after Efron congratulated Biles):
"Thanks Zac! I hope you can watch Team Final tomorrow night," she tweeted.
Efron's response: "Of course I'm watching the #FinalFive dominate the floor!" (And he attached a photo of himself making a "heart" sign with his hands.)
