Critic's TV picks for June 18 -- "The Voice," "How to Train Your Dragon," "Blood and Oil"
Going through "Games of Thrones" withdrawal? I've got the perfect antidote. "How to Train Your Dragon" (8 p.m., Fox Movie Channel) is one of the best animated films of the past 10 years, although — spoiler alert — no one loses their head in the proceedings.
Do you believe
"The Voice" (8 p.m., KARE, Ch. 11) crowns a champion, but not before an appearance from Cher, making her first live TV appearance in more than a decade. I'm excited, but it would have made more sense for her to stop by when one of the judges' chairs was occupied by Christina Aguilera so the two could dish about "Burlesque."
There will not be blood
Like the Ewings, the Cutter family deals in oil. Unlike the Ewings, they don't all want to kill each other. "Blood and Oil" (9 p.m., Discovery) documents this Ohio clan's attempts to strike black gold.
