Duron Carter, the son of the former Vikings' Hall of Famer Cris Carter, scored a touchdown in a Canadian Football league game Thursday and then took his celebration to the opposing bench.

You might remember Carter as having tryouts with the Vikings in 2013 and 2015. He spent part of last season on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad but returned to Canada for this season, where he scored for Montreal in a game against the Ottawa Redblacks.

Now he'll be remembered for this classy move:

Afterward, Carter tried to make a case that he was very emotional after he scored the touchdown and didn't even know he'd bumped into the coach.

Carter became an All-Star in the CFL after a college career that included time at Ohio State ... Coffeyville Junior College ... Alabama ... and Florida Atlantic. He only played at the first two, by the way, and a case can be made that if he was, say, Carter Duron instead of Duron Carter, son of Hall of Famer Cris carter, the chances may not have been so abundant.

And, finally, we bring you this Star Tribune report from last year in which "Duron Carter talks about growing up."
