Crippling Colorado Snowstorm Winds Down

A major storm pummeled parts of Colorado on Friday, dumping feet of snow onthe area and causing travel to come to a grinding halt. Stretches ofInterstates 70 and 80 were closed and many were left without power as theheavy, wet snow piled up. As the storm moves eastward onto the Plains today,the snow will begin to wind down in the Centennial State.A few more inches of snow is still expected in parts of Colorado, northernNew Mexico and southeastern Wyoming through tonight. Most of this area willhave another 1 to 3 inches of snowfall. However, up to 6 more inches of snowwill fall in the highest elevations of the Colorado Rockies.
