Crews on Sunday night began recovering a downed plane in the Mississippi River near Grey Cloud Island, KARE-11 reported.
Grey Cloud Island is southwest of St. Paul Park and Cottage Grove.
Few details were immediately available. Dakota County and Washington County authorities helped with the search for the aircraft.
