Crash in downtown Stillwater injures four from Wisconsin

Four Wisconsin residents were injured after a two-car collision in Stillwater on Friday night, closing Hwy. 95 for about two hours.

Three Wisconsin residents are recovering Saturday at Regions Hospital in St. Paul after a head-on collision closed Stillwater's Main Street in both directions for about two hours Friday night.

Gavin Langer, 28, of Sheboygan, Wis., was driving southbound on Main Street near Nelson Street in downtown Stillwater when his Pontiac Grand Am crossed the centerline around 8:50 p.m., striking an Audi carrying three people.

The crash critically injured a female passenger in the Audi, Corie Erickson, 23, of Hudson, Wis. She remains hospitalized at Regions along with the driver of the car, John Hartmon, 24, of Hudson, who sustained serious injuries. A second passenger, Paul Oman, 26, of New Richmond, Wis., was treated and released.

Langer also remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, alcohol was detected on all four people and none of them were wearing seat belts.
