Craig: Three NFL observations ... and two predictions

September 23, 2012 at 2:09PM

Three observations ...• Bucs coach Greg Schiano said he won't stop going all-out against kneel-down plays at the end of games. Good for him. If opposing coaches are afraid of players getting hurt, then have them block somebody.

• Peyton Manning is going to have to make even quicker decisions to make up for an arm that isn't what it used to be.

• Chris Johnson looks awful and has the stats (21 yards on 19 carries) to prove it.

... Two bold predictions• I refuse to give up on my predicted Super Bowl winner. So I'll keep picking the Saints (at home vs. Kansas City) to win until the Saints actually do win.

• The Packers will join the Cowboys in finding out just how tough it is to win at Seattle.
