Couple Fight II: Friends and Family
This 2015 Fringe favorite returns for a well-deserved encore with seven new pairs of friends, family and lovers picking open old scabs for our entertainment. The reenactments of past feuds include besties trekking through white privilege at a sleepover, while audiences also see (and can't unsee) a grown man pretending to be a female toddler with a not-so-pretend diaper straining to cover his derriere. Directed by Tom Reed and produced by creator Anna Weggel-Reed, the play hits its jokes hard without leaning too heavily on mushy-gushy themes of making up nice. (4 p.m. Sat., 8:30 p.m. Tue. with ASL interpreter, 4 p.m. Fri., 5:30 p.m. Aug. 14, Theater in the Round, 245 Cedar Av., Mpls.)
