Five-star Findlay Prep point guard Cory Joseph, the No. 7 player in the country in the 2010 class on rivals.com, said Monday that he enjoyed his official visit to Minnesota over the weekend.

Joseph, the brother of Gophers combo guard Devoe Joseph, said he went to a Timberwolves game with the team Friday and attended the Michigan State-Minnesota football game Saturday. The senior said he heard fans chanting his name at TCF Bank Stadium. He said Saturday's football game was "crazy."

He also watched Gophers practice Saturday, which was a part of Tubby Smith's coaching clinic.

Joseph said he spent his time in Minneapolis talking to players and learning more about the program.

"This trip, I just kind of hung out with the players," he said Monday. "I kind of got their opinions about the school. It's a very good program. I got along with the players on the team."

Joseph said he's not sure if he'll sign with a school later this month or wait until the spring period.

He also said that he'd enjoy playing with his brother but won't let that be the deciding factor for him when he picks a school.

"Everybody wants to play with their brother, but I still make a decision what's 100 percent for me," he said.

Joseph added: "At the same time, I still gotta check out other schools. … [I'll] keep on looking into all the schools."

Style of play, his relationship with the coach and academics are the three main concerns for Joseph, he said. The Toronto native said he'll make a decision when he's "100 percent" sure about a school.

Joseph has already visited UConn, Texas and Villanova. Florida, Mississippi State and UNLV have also made his final list.

Joseph said the Gophers definitely fulfill one of the three components he desires in a school.

"[Smith's] an unbelievable coach," Joseph said. "He's a great guy. He's down to earth."
