Hearings are scheduled this week in Washington on military contractors and the training of Afghan police. The insightful and entertaining blog Danger Room has the details.

Last year, The Star Tribune wrote about Minnesotan Frank Ball's experience working as a contractor instructing the fledgling Afghan police and the problems associated with corruption and illiteracy. Note in the Danger Room post the interest in how much scruntiny Ball's former employer, DynCorp, may find itself under. Ball had some criticism of the company but left on good terms.
