BROOKFIELD, Wis. — In a story Jan. 9 about a company saying it will shutter its Brookfield commercial printing plant, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the company, the Mittera Group, plans to close the Wisconsin Web Offset LLC plant in March and lay off the 56 people who work there. Mittera plans to close the plant in May and to transfer as many of the plant's workers as possible to plants in Beaver Dam and Waukesha operated by another Mittera subsidiary, J.B. Kenehan.

Brookfield-based printing plant to close in May; Mittera aims to transfer jobs to other plants

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (AP) — Mittera Group will close its Brookfield-based commercial printing plant in May and aims to transfer as many of the 56 affected jobs as possible to other plants.

Mittera, a holding group headquartered in Iowa, acquired Wisconsin Web Offset LLC in Brookfield in 2013. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development announced that plant will close in May.

Mittera officials say the company will transfer as many jobs as possible to plants in Beaver Dam and Waukesha operated by J.B. Kenehan, which Mittera also acquired in 2013.
