Corgi Races and Cupcake Festival
Corgis, the dog breed with short legs, will scurry in a race to the finish. Also the preferred breed of Queen Elizabeth, the four-legged contenders will run six heats until a top dog is chosen. To appease the sweet tooth of guests, a cupcake festival will feature creations from local bakeries as well as a cupcake-eating competition. Other activities include a petting zoo, pony rides and face painting. (Noon Sat. $9. Canterbury Park, 1100 Canterbury Rd., Shakopee. 952-445-7223. canterburypark.com.) MELISSA WALKER
