A 35-year-old woman from Coon Rapids was killed late Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Chisago County.
According to the State Patrol, Shannon M. Vandeveer died just after 4:30 p.m. when the 2012 Ford Focus she was driving west on Hwy. 8 near 276th Street was struck by a 2004 GMC Sierra pickup that had crossed over the centerline.
The pickup driver, Steven C. Graves, 75, of Lindstrom, was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with noncritical injuries.
Both were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.
