Warming up with Latin dance

Straight from Los Angeles, Contra-Tiempo serves up a round of salsa, Afro-Cuban, hip-hop and modern dance. Woven with dance styles rooted in Latin American rhythms and the African diaspora, the company's "JoyUs JustUS" show was made from the dancers' personal stories, with the results being both entertaining and political in light of current immigration politics. (7:30 p.m. Sat., Ordway Music Theater, 345 Washington St., St. Paul, $22-$42, 651-224-4222, ordway.org.)

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020.
