Continued Southwest Cooling

Early this week, the high deserts of the Southwest reported temperaturesabove 100 degrees for the first time this season. The intense heat has sincedissipated, but it remains quite warm.This weekend will be noticeably cooler through the Southwest as a flow fromthe north takes over. The deserts will have highs in the 80s and low 90sstarting today, and in places such as Las Vegas, it will never get out of the70s on Saturday.

No significant rainfall is expected with the frontal passage.
