Why is Minnesota the amazing place it is today? The answer is that a lot of people worked hard, sometimes against long odds, to get us here.

I was thinking about this the other day when I read that Wisconsin has a Conservation Hall of Fame where its conservation heroes are recognized and remembered. Minnesota has its own set of men and women who fought to protect the places we all love, save forests and lakes, and did a hundred other things that have made Minnesota a national conservation leader.

Over the last two years, Conservation Minnesota has featured many of these people's work. Some are living, some have passed on. All deserve our thanks.

We are at more than 50 people and counting. Do you have any Minnesota conservation heroes we can add to the list?
