Join us at the Star Tribune's State Fair booth (located near the grandstand) for an array of topics, programs and personalities. Here's the schedule:

Sat., Sept. 5, 5 p.m. In advance of the Avett Brothers concert, music writer Chris Riemenschneider presides over a Minnesota music trivia contest.

Thur., Aug 27, 1 p.m.: Features writer Sharyn Jackson discussed Minnessentials, an occasional series in the Star Tribune Variety section. Fairgoers could stop by and nominate a topic for furure Minnessentials columns.

Thur., Aug. 27, 3 p.m.: Meteorologist Paul Douglas talked weather and answered any weather-related questions.

Mon., Aug 31, 1 p.m. Greengirls bloggers Kim Palmer and Lynn Underwood talked gardening and played an interactive gardening-themed game with fairgoers.

Mon., Aug. 31, 3 p.m. Photojournalist Brian Peterson answered general questions about photography and discussed the "State of Wonders" series from the Star Tribune Travel section. Pre-sale orders available for the forthcoming "State of Wonders" coffeetable book.

Tues., Sept. 1, 1-3 p.m. Columnist Gail Rosenblum and photojournalist Jim Gehrz discussed their "Duets" project, an occasional department in the Saturday Variety section featuring serendiptious friendships. Fairgoers perused a gallery of past "Duets" features and nominated pairs of friends for future stories.

Wed., Sept. 2, 1 p.m. Photojournalist Brian Peterson answers general questions about photography and discusses the "State of Wonders" series from the Star Tribune Travel section. Pre-sale orders available for the forthcoming "State of Wonders" coffeetable book.

Wed., Sept. 2, 2 p.m. Beat writer Michael Russo is joined by Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher for a Q&A on the back porch.
