Once again, no one knows what's going on here. Well, no, that's not entirely true; someone knows, but the rest of us are n the dark. It's not as big an issue as, say, the composition of the rebel forces in Tripoli and the forthcoming internicine warfare between various insurgent groups in the post-Qaddafi era, but on the other hand, Qaddafi only ruled for 42 years. Lewis did this show for 45.

There's a difference between "appearing" and "hosting," you know. No one expects a guy who's a buck-and-a-half away from 100 years old to stay awake for the entire thing, especially during those difficult wee hours when it's 3 AM in LA and no one's watching. But would it kill them to bring him out now and then for old time's sake? Keeping him off the show entirely makes the MDA look petty, or makes you think there's something they're not telling us.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
