A fire in a condominium in Detroit Lakes, Minn., killed a 72-year-old man who lived there, authorities said.

A fire in a condominium in Detroit Lakes, Minn., killed a 72-year-old man who lived there, authorities said.

William McGrath died in the fourth-floor blaze, which occurred about 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Edgewater Condominiums along the northern shore of Detroit Lake, according to police.

The building was evacuated while firefighters extinguished the flames, police said. There was smoke damage in other units, but no one else was hurt in the fire.

The fire's cause has yet to be disclosed.
