On New Year's Day, the storm along the Northeast coastline really cranks upwith heavy snow breaking out from the Catskill Mountains to northern NewEngland. Mixed rain and snow is likely along the I-95 Corridor from New York toBoston. Lighter snow will fall in Ohio, western New York, Pennsylvania and WestVirginia.Arctic air will continue to blast southward into the central part of thecountry New Year's Day with temperatures in the northern tier remaining belowzero.
Stormy weather will return to the Pacific Northwest.
