Coming soon: 'Prom Night' not screened for critics

April 14, 2008 at 3:32PM

Opens today: Oh, the horror that is prom night: the pimples, the dashed expectations, the obsessed stalker/killer. Donna (Brittany Snow) believes the terrors of her past are gone, and is looking forward to a magical evening.
But when the magic turns to murder she knows there is only one man who could be responsible. From what we can tell (the movie was not screened for critics), "Prom Night" (rated PG-13 for violence and terror, some sexual material, underage drinking and language) is not a remake of the 1980 Jamie Lee Curtis movie of the same name, which you might want to rent instead.
