College hockey roundup: UMD completes four-game sweep of UND

Hunter Miska stopped 29 shots and No. 4 Minnesota Duluth beat No. 8 North Dakota for the fourth time in as many meetings this season, winning 4-0 Saturday to hand the Fighting Hawks their first home sweep since November 2013.

The Bulldogs (15-5-4, 11-4-1), completed their first four-game regular-season sweep of UND (13-9-3, 6-7-1). It's also the first time UND was shut out at home since Oct. 28, 2011.

Ohio State 6, Penn State 3: Matthew Weis and Luke Stork scored in the first 1:41 of the third period and the Buckeyes (12-4-6, 3-2-1 Big Ten) swept the No. 1 Nittany Lions (16-3-2, 5-2-1), keeping the Gophers in first place in the conference.

Michigan 2, Michigan State 2:

Cooper Marody scored the only goal in a shootout and the Wolverines earned a second point in the Big Ten standings after tying the host Spartans.

Denver 3, St. Cloud State 1: Dylan Gambrell, Jarid Lukosevicius and Michael Davies scored as the Pioneers beat the host Huskies to earn a weekend split.

Michigan Tech 4, Minnesota State Mankato 0: Alex Gillies scored twice and the host Huskies shut out the Mavericks.

Bemidji State 5, Ferris State 1: The host Beavers scored three times in the second period.
