Michigan rallies in Happy Valley BIG TEN

MICHIGAN 64, PENN STATE 55: Laval Lucas-Perry keyed a decisive second-half spurt with four three-pointers and DeShawn Sims had 25 points as the Wolverines (8-6, 2-1 Big Ten) rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit vs. the host Nittany Lions (8-7, 0-3) on Thursday. Michigan still trailed 42-26 with 12:24 left in the second half, but the Wolverines were nearly unstoppable from there, closing with a 38-13 run.

• NORTHWESTERN 53, TEXAS-PAN AMERICAN 44: The Wildcats (11-3) almost found a way to lose to the Broncs (1-16), a road-weary team with the country's No. 282 RPI.

INDIANA 50, ILLINOIS 48: Jamie Braun's layup with three seconds left sent the host Hoosiers (9-6, 2-2) over the Illini (10-4, 2-2). Braun finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and four steals.

WISCONSIN 64, PURDUE 51: Alyssa Karel had 21 points and the host Badgers (12-4, 2-3) beat the Boilermakers (7-8, 2-2) for the first time since 2001.

MICHIGAN 63, IOWA 46: Veronica Hicks had 10 points and 18 rebounds as the host Wolverines (10-5, 2-3) beat the Hawkeyes (8-8, 1-4).

NO. 8 GEORGIA 61, KENTUCKY 60 (OT): Jasmine James hit a three-pointer with 15 seconds left in overtime to give the Bulldogs (2-0 SEC) a school-record 15-0 start by beating the Wildcats (12-2, 0-1).
