Cold Set to Linger in the South

Frigid air that blasted across the eastern half of the nation over the weekendwill retain its tight grip over the Southeast. High temperatures will hover inthe 30s today as far south as southern Oklahoma to northern Georgia. Overnightlows will plummet into the teens and 20s tonight.Temperatures will make a slight rebound during the middle of the week, but theywill still hover well below normal. Late this week, another, even colder airmass will plunge across the nation's midsection.
