Midwinter cold has taken over across the northern tier of the country, and itwon't go away anytime soon. You folks up in Bismarck and Billings won't see atemperature above 30 degrees through at least next week. As a matter of fact,it may not get above 20 the entire time! And the nights? Suffice to say it will be wickedly cold out there. The coldpockets of Montana and Wyoming can expect overnight temperatures as low as 35below zero. That's nasty! To make things even worse, a big storm is going to cut through the West andGreat Plains next week, causing heavy snow from Utah to Iowa. The snow will bethe dry, powdery type that will be easily blown about by the strong winds thatthe storm produces. In other words, it's going to be a blizzard for some.Story By AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist John Kocet.
