In the "poetry film" subgenre, poems are interpreted into short films. Now Minneapolis-based poetry-film production house Co-Kisser presents its second annual showcase -- the only festival of its kind in the United States. The films don't necessarily present their origin poems literally, but rather are abstract interpretations, relying on the juxtaposition of visuals and the words themselves. The long list of contributors to this year's roster of films include Paul Dickinson, Danny Sigelman and the Prairie Lady Fire Choir. (2501 Stevens Av. S., Mpls. www.co-kisser.com.)
