Michele Bachmann, fresh off her Minneapolis rally with conservative soul-mate Sarah Palin, finds herself ranked No. 2 in the Club for Growth's real time "power ranking" of U.S. House members. The group, which describes itself as a network of "pro-growth Americans, from all walks of life, who believe that prosperity and opportunity come through economic freedom," ranks the politicians daily, based on members' votes. As of today, Bachmann ranks second, behind Arizona Republican Jeff Flake, a champion of the anti-earmark cause. Two other Minnesota Republicans, Erik Paulsen and John Kline, rank 56th and 59th, respectively. "The power rankings reflect the real time votes of Club members," said Mike Connolly, a spokesman for the group. "(Bachmann's) been a fan favorite around here from the beginning, consistently ranking near the very top."
