Meet Ecuadorean furniture designer Adriana Hoyos during a free reception at Gabberts, 6 p.m. Feb. 25. Hoyos' design aesthetic has Latin American roots but is redefined for a contemporary American and international market. The businesswoman and luxury furniture maker heads Adriana Hoyas Furnishings showrooms in Miami, Venezuela, Peru and several other locations. If you're a fan of HomeGoods, you might want to check out At Home. The national furnishings retailer just opened a supersized store in Burnsville. The 107,000-square-foot space offers furniture, wall art, rugs, housewares, accessories, patio settings and seasonal decor.
