DIY plaster repair

Learn how to fix cracks and holes in walls at a hands-on workshop inside the attic of a Victorian-era house. The "Plaster Repair Workshop" offered by Preservation Alliance of Minnesota will be held at the 1880s Villaume House, 123 W. Isabel St., West St. Paul. The beginners' workshop will demonstrate materials, techniques and tools to repair vintage walls, as well as fix and finish wallboard, 9 a.m. to noon June 6 and 7. Cost is $49 for nonmembers, $41.65 for members; attendees can go to one or both days. Registration fee includes a beginners' plaster repair "toolkit" that students can take with them.
