Cleaning off winter car crud: Deals on auto detailing

Today's daily deal at Living Social is a good one: Get your car detailed for $48 ($60 for a truck or van). The deal includes interior and exterior cleaning, making it a lot less than a typical detail, which can run $150. The deal includes shampoo, wax, vacuum and clean. It takes about two and a half hours for a sedan. The detailer, CA Performance in Oakdale (6780 Hudson Blvd. N., 651-739-2904), will drive you to a nearby coffeeshop or restaurant and pick up you when the car is ready. You can also wait in the showroom.

If Oakdale isn't convenient for you, there should be more bargains on car detailing for the next several weeks. March is always a good time for them. Don't hesitate to call a detailer and ask.
