Accordo
Tuesday: This acclaimed Twin Cities chamber ensemble features two novelties. It opens with a Passacaglia for Violin & Viola by 19th-century Norwegian composer Johan Halvorsen, based on a composition by Handel. It closes with the Piano Quintet in G minor by 19th-century Russian composer Sergei Taneyev. The ensemble is joined by Italian pianist Alessio Bax for this work, as well as for the centerpiece of the program, the Beethoven Piano Trio in B-flat major, "Archduke," a masterpiece of the composer's middle period. (7:30 p.m. Tue., Christ Church Lutheran, 3244 34th Av. S., Mpls., $12-$24, 651-292-3268, Schubert.org/concerts/accordo)
