NEW-MUSIC PAIRING Saturday: Chicago's Grammy-winning eighth blackbird and the Twin Cities' own Zeitgeist are two of the best new-music ensembles going; their collaboration next weekend at Walker Art Center promises much. They'll combine to play Steve Reich's "Double Sextet," which won the Pulitzer Prize in 2009 -- only 35 years after Reich should have won it for "Music for 18 Musicians." Also on the program (which features choreography by Susan Marshall) are new works by Bang on a Can founders Julia Wolfe, Michael Gordon and David Lang. (8 p.m. Sat. $29. McGuire Theater, Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Av., Mpls. 612-375-7600 or www.walkerart.org.)
