Citizen searching for shed antlers in Roseville finds body

The identity of the individual, whose gender was not released, and cause of death remain undetermined, police said.

A citizen searching for shed antlers near Reservoir Woods Park in Roseville came across a human body Friday, according to Roseville police.

Officers were called to the northeast corner of Dale Street and Roselawn Avenue just after noon after the citizen spotted the body near some trees on the vacant lot, police said. Detectives and crime scene personnel from the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension responded to the scene and will continue to investigate.

The identity of the individual, whose gender was not released, and cause of death remain undetermined, police said. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy and release the person's identity once they are known.
