Today is the fifth day of Holy Week known as Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday, which is meant to commemorate the Last Supper of Jesus with the Apostles.

A key tradition associated with the Christian holy day is the Washing of the Feet, which references Jesus doing the same to the Apostles prior to his death and resurrection.

Many Twin Cities churches will hold services today celebrating the event. Tomorrow is Good Friday, then the week will conclude with Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.
