Beginning Wednesday, the sanctuary of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville will become a food-packing facility, of sorts.
Nearly 5,000 church members and others are working to feed thousands of starving children in Haiti, Nicaragua and other countries around the world. Through a partnership between Prince of Peace and Twin Cities-based Feed My Starving Children, volunteers will produce 1 million meals. The event is running Jan. 26-29 in the Prince of Peace sanctuary. Aside from the shifts on Wednesday, there are still slots open to volunteer. In addition to providing volunteers, Prince of Peace has committed to paying for the cost of the meals packed. For more information, check out http://www.princeofpeaceonline.org
