ASPEN, Colo. — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is drawing the wrath of fellow Republicans for advocating security over privacy rights in the debate over U.S. surveillance efforts.
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul tweeted Friday that he worries about the dangers of losing freedom, while Christie worries about the dangers of freedom. Paul added that spying without warrants is unconstitutional.
Christie responded to a moderator's question at an Aspen Institute forum Thursday by warning that that a growing libertarian streak among Democrats and Republicans was dangerous.
