Children's Theatre Company is sowing more seeds this spring with its one-person drama, "Seedfolks."

A hit at CTC in 2014, "Seedfolks" subsequently traveled to perform in Cape Town, South Africa and Alexandria, Minn., and now it will play in eight cities in Minnesota this spring, including Red Wing and International Falls. It's also traveling to Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska as well as New York City, for a week-long run at New Victory Theater in May.

Sonja Parks -- whom Star Tribune critic Rohan Preston said performs with "agility, empathy and a whole lot of heart" -- plays 11 roles in the one-act drama, which is about how a child's planting of six lima bean seeds eventually leads to the revitalization of a neighborhood. The play is based on a book by Paul Fleischman and directed by CTC artist director Peter Brosius.
