Since two of its members got left out of the Van Halen reunion tour, Chickenfoot is hitting the road, with a May 11 show at the new Brick in Minneapolis. That's just eight days before Van Halen comes to the X in St. Paul. Chickenfoot, featuring Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Kenny Aronoff. Their A Different Devil Tour is promoting last year's "Chickenfoot III" album. Ticket info hasn't been announced.
In other concert news, Daryl Hall brings his Daryl's House Nu-Soul Revue, featuring the great Brooklyn soul stirrer Sharon Jones and Seattle granola soul man Allen Stone, April 18 at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets, priced from $39-$79, will go on sale at noon Saturday.
Counting Crows return April 21 to the State Theatre. Tickets, priced from $39.50 ro $59.50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
Neo-soul man Van Hunt is back April 15 at the Fine Line. Tickets, which are $15 in advance, will go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday.
