The Walker Art Center's restaurant, Gather by D'Amico, will feature Doug Flicker as guest chef in August, starting with two featured items created by him and available free on Aug. 2. Flicker's food will then be featured at the art center's restaurant on subesequent Thursday nights (5-9 p.m.) in August. Reservations recommended.
Flicker, formerly of D'Amico Cucina, Auriga, Mission, and Porter and Frye, opened Piccolo in south Minneapolis in 2010 with former Auriga partner Jim Andrus.
Piccolo was the Star Tribune's 2010 Restaurant of the Year.
