Check, please: Easter brunch

It's not too late to make Easter brunch reservations. Here are three can't-miss suggestions.

Nicollet Island Inn

The five-course brunch at the historic Nicollet Island Inn does not disappoint, with a selection in each course that includes duck confit hash, bouillabaisse, a croque monsieur with lobster chowder and Key lime cheesecake. Bottomless beverages (Mimosas, coffee) are included. Cost is $36 per person.

At their charming Uptown storefront, Amore Victoria co-owners Alex and Jenna Victoria are celebrating the occasion with a brunch buffet, featuring frittatas, crêpes, beef brisket, salmon, ham, pork tenderloin, pastries and more. Cost is $22 for adults, $9 for ages 4 to 12, and free for ages 3 and under.

Take a seat inside the clubby confines of Pittsburgh Blue and enjoy à la carte dishes along the lines of prime rib Benedict, crab-asparagus-avocado salad, cold-smoked salmon with toasted bagels, a Niçoise-style tuna sandwich, shrimp cocktail and lobster bisque. Prices rarely top the low teens, and a small kids' menu ($4.95) includes pancakes, waffles and scrambled eggs.
