There are plenty of choices during brunch at the stylish, fun-loving Bacio, including a chicken-apple sausage and roasted sweet potato hash, a Cheddar-bacon-egg sandwich, brioche beignets, a bread pudding French toast, flatbreads topped with eggs and chorizo, a half-dozen well-conceived salads and more.

Treat Mom to a little Art Moderne glamour and book a table at Bank, which is housed in the glorious banking hall of the former Farmers and Mechanics Bank. Look for a monster of a buffet brunch, priced at $30 per person, and $12 for children ages 10 and under. The teak paneling, molded art-glass windows and lotus-shaped chandeliers are included in the tab.

At cozy, friendly Joan's in the Park, chef/co-owner Susan Dunlop will be preparing an appealingly eclectic range of a la carte brunch items, including bacon-wrapped shrimp with cheesy grits, crab cakes Benedict, a roasted vegetable hash topped with poached eggs, buttermilk biscuits with gravy and corn crepes filled with pork confit and tomatillo salsa.
