Who says you can't get a really good California cab for 10 bucks? Not anyone who has tasted the Cycles Gladiator Cabernet Sauvignon ($10). Intense but not overpowering, this deep, dark beauty has the proverbial supple tannins and even a touch of acidity before a smooth finish. It should hold up well to winter's braised and roasted meats and veggies, but it's also a swell pizza and burger wine. Seriously cool label, too.
