Cheap travel: How about Rome for $704 in December?

US Airways is offering a last-minute airfare to Italy for $352 each way. You can travel through most of December, but tickets must be purchased by Monday.

United Airlines continues to offer its sweet last-minute deals out of the Twin Cites into December.

In addition to a last-minut trip out of Minneapolis to Chicago this weekend ($104 roundtrip), United is offering several last-minute flights next weekend across the country, including many of its standard last-minute deal destinations, including Greenville, SC ($176), El Paso, Texas ($182) and Quebec City, Canada ($382).

As usual, the fine print applies -- the standard purchase-by-midnight-Friday rules etc. You can read all about those in the link below, as well as find a full list of the destinations.

If overseas is more your bag, maybe you'll want to check out this last-minute fare sale to Rome out of Minneapolis, for $704 roundtrip. That's on US Airways, with a ticket purchase required by Monday, Nov. 30, and travel is valid through Dec. 20.
