BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

Morris shut down; Griffin, not so much

For the third consecutive week, the Vikings defense contained the opposition's top running back. Redskins rookie Alfred Morris managed just 47 yards on 16 carries. Morris came into the day averaging 4.9 yards per carry, but he was the third consecutive top back that the Vikings held below 3.0 yards per attempt. Tennessee's Chris Johnson averaged 1.6 yards per carry in Week 5; Detroit's Mikel Leshoure averaged 2.0 yards per carry the previous week. Of course, the Redskins still had 183 rushing yards, thanks to quarterback Robert Griffin III's 138 on 13 carries, including a 76-yard touchdown run.

MANO-A-MANO

Vikings LB Chad Greenway vs. Morris

WHO WON? Draw. Greenway focused on RG3. He tackled Morris twice.
